Past Events

Since its inception in 1995, ICHF has staged several productions involving DFW youth such as Discover India, Festivals of India (in collaboration with Texas Instruments), Jain Exhibit at the Kimball Art Museum, Dance for the Planet, Dallas Morning News dance festivals, and participation in the City of Dallas's Neighborhood Touring Program. Some of the productions such as Jhankar and Virangana have been fundraisers benefiting DFW projects such as the DFW Hindu Temple and the Dallas Women's Museum.

ICHF board and committee members have also conducted lecture/demonstrations on Indian Dance Styles at Texas Women's University, SMU's TITAS UP-FRONT lecture series and the Addison Dance Council. Finally, in July 2003, the dance school associated with ICHF conducted a Dance and Diversity convention in San Antonio, Texas.

ICHF is also involved with a cultural program for Dallas area schools called Young Audiences Art Partners through which we will be performing mini-programs at several of the local area schools.
